For the first time, Kawasaki has dropped a teaser on this upcoming modern-classic motorcycle .Called the Z900RS, this new bike will be unveiled on 25 October at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
The teaser video was revealed on the company’s official YouTube channel. Currently, the details are scarce, but the association of the Z series with the upcoming bike surely makes us believe that it will have the new trellis frame from the Z900. The motor too, is expected to be sourced from the Z900 naked bike, but it will be detuned to suit the Z900RS’ easy riding nature.
The Japanese manufacturer has tried hard to conceal all the details about the Z900RS. Other than the LED headlight, turn indicators, chrome cluster and the round headlamp, everything has been smartly hidden. Kawasaki has also placed the 1970 Z1 in this video - a nice way to build up some excitement around the new product.
We’re expecting Kawasaki to showcase the new Z900RS at the 2017 EICMA as well. Will it come to India? Well, there’s definitely a market for it. Currently, Triumph has been enjoying this space with the Bonneville series. A competition like the Z900RS is surely going to excite the market.
