The Kawasaki KLX140 is going to be launched in India tomorrow.
The KLX140 is built around a perimeter frame and powered by a 144cc four-stroke single-cylinder carburetted engine, mated to a five-speed gearbox. It rides on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear spoke wheels suspended by 33mm front forks and a fully adjustable rear monoshock. Braking hardware consists of a 220mm disc brake up front and a 186mm rear disc brake. A low seat height of 780mm ensures that the KLX140 is accessible even for short riders.
Kawasaki classifies the KLX140 as a recreational vehicle for off-road use. Given the absence of a headlamp, turn indicators and mirrors, the KLX140 is not road-legal and can only be used on private property. Priced at around Rs 4.0 lakh, the KLX140 will slot in between the KLX110 and the KX100F in Kawasaki’s dirt bike lineup.
