Kawasaki plans to open 10 new dealerships in various cities across India. The manufacturer currently has 12 dealerships in- Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Vijaywada, Hyderabad, Cochin, Surat, Ahemdabad, Coimbatore and Chandigarh. It will inaugurate more facilities in Kolhapur, Nagpur, Vizag, Calicut, Mangalore, Kolkata, Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar, Ludhiana and Goa taking the total to 22 such facilities.
The dealerships are scheduled to be opened by the end of 2017 and will each have their own service centre. All the new facilities are located in small cities, showing Kawasaki’s aggressive approach in the Indian market.
Kawasaki split with Bajaj earlier this year, and ever since, the manufacturer has taken the Indian market by storm with their aggressively priced offerings - the Z900 and Ninja 1000. Kawasaki recently updated the colour schemes on both the bikes in India, just in time for the festive season in the country.
