Kawasaki had everyone spellbound when it unveiled the Ninja H2R at the Intermot Show, last week. Kawasaki has been teasing the Ninja H2R for quite a few weeks and one look at it makes it clear that the motorcycle was worth the wait. Now though, a new video leaked on YouTube shows that the Japanese manufacturer is going to unveil the road-legal version of the H2R at the 2014 EICMA Show in Milan, on November 4.
The video shows the 300+bhp H2R and the road going version side by side, though the shadow withholds the details of the motorcycle. We can however make out that the windshield is more raked in than the road-legal H2 and the fairing sports mirrors instead of wings. The rear section has a number plate holder and indicators and the Ninja badging on the tail is faintly visible.
The motorcycle in the teaser doesn’t have rear footpegs or a rear seat, indicating that it might also be available as a single seater. The exhaust system is different as the noise regulations seem to have forced Kawasaki to ditch the megaphone in favour of a twin-exhaust setup. The aerodynamic wings and stabilisers have also been discarded, though it does retain the air scoops to ventilate the engine and supercharger.
While the track-only Ninja H2R is powered by a 998cc in-line four supercharged engine which pumps out more than 300bhp, the Ninja H2’s power figures are expected to be kept at somewhere around the 230bhp to 250bhp mark. This would still make the Ninja H2 the most powerful motorcycle in Kawasaki’s line-up, and the company’s flagship motorcycle.
