- New variant of W800 to be showcased
- Could be a scrambler variant
- Unveil at 2019 EICMA
Kawasaki is gearing up to launch a new variant of the W800 at the EICMA show in Italy. This news was confirmed by Sergio Vicarelli, director sales and market, Kawasaki.
Currently, the company sells the street and the café racer variants in the world market. India just gets the street model. This upcoming third variant is likely to be a scrambler model, however, the company official refused to confirm the body type.
The W800 isn’t a very fast going, loaded with electronics type of motorcycle. It is powered by a 48bhp motor that churns out 62.9Nm of peak torque. The motor on the upcoming variant will be Euro 5 compliant, which means Kawasaki India could bring the motorcycle to India as well next year.
Along with this, the Japanese maker plans to unveil two more motorcycles. But these bikes will be revealed in a few days at the Tokyo Motor Show.
