Making its debut in 1984, the iconic Ninja name took the world of motorcycles by storm and now, after serving the fraternity for 30 years, the Japanese manufacturer has unveiled the 30th anniversary edition of the world’s most powerful production motorcycle, the Ninja ZX14-R.
Only 300 units of this motorcycle will be manufactured and sold in USA and Latin American markets and just like the 30th anniversary edition of the Ninja ZX-10R and the Ninja ZX-6R, the ZX-14R gets cosmetic changes only. This model that pays homage to the 1984 Nina 900 gets the same two-tone paint scheme –firecracker red and metallic graystone. It also sports the gold brake calipers and gold pinstriping. Each side of the fairing will get the 30th anniversary logos, whereas the fuel tank will carry a numbered badge.
Mechanically, the anniversary edition remains unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the 1441cc inline-four engine, which churns out 206bhp and 162Nm of peak torque.
Like we have mentioned above, the 30th anniversary edition ZX-14R will only make its way to certain markets, India will continue to get the standard version. Though we would have loved if India Kawasaki Motors gets one to India, no even to sell it but just to show it to Indian motorcycle enthusiasts.
