The Ninja H2R has been storming motoring forums since it was unveiled at the 2014 EICMA. Priced at $50,000 (Rs 31 lakh), the H2R is a limited-edition motorcycle and can be bought only after a customer places an order. In order to make this more exclusive, Kawasaki has unveiled the drag spec H2R, called the H2 Hybrid.
The H2 Hybrid will be ridden by the King of Motorcycle Drag Racing – Rickey Gadson (11 times champion). Rickey worked with Kawasaki to build this supercharged bike to meet certain drag-racing specifications. In order to make this bike drag ready, Rickey worked for almost a month with his favourite engineer. The major change seen on the bike is the extended strong arm swingarm from Adam’s Performance, which stretches upto 67.5 inches. The stock rear wheel was replaced with a BST carbon fiber wheel from Brock’s Performance. Gadson says that this has helped them eliminate around 5 kgs of weight. Rickey also added a JRI rear shock and equipped the Ninja H2 Hybrid with a handlebar-mounted air shifter, which works in conjunction with the Kawasaki Quick Shifter on the Ninja H2.
The 2015 Valley Run is just a month away and we hope to see Rickey Gadson talk about his experience with the H2 Hybrid when he comes to India. Things will get better if he gets his custom drag spec bike for the Valley Run.
