Kawasaki unveiled their new quarter litre naked motorcycle, the Z250 at the Tokyo Motor Show. The street version of the Ninja 250 gets its aggressive street-fighter design from its bigger siblings, the Z1000 and the Z800.
The Z250 gets a muscular body work and shares the engine and the chassis of the new Ninja 250. It’s upright riding position and wide handle bar enables very good rider control in traffic and cities. It gets a muscular engine shrouds, headlamp cowl, flared fuel tank and fully-digital instrument console. The exhaust looks similar to one in the Ninja 300.
The new Z250 is powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled four-stroke fuel-injected parallel twin engine. The company hasn’t disclosed the power figures yet but expect it to be close to 35PS. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
There is a very high chance of the Z250 making its way to India soon as the Japanese manufacturer wants to do some very serious business. We were the first one to report about the Z1000 and Z800 launch in India. We won’t be surprised if see the new Z250 sharing the same stage with the bigger two siblings at the 2014 Auto Expo.
