- Commemorate 50 years of the Kawasaki Z1
- Get a special colour scheme
- Could be introduced in India later this year
Kawasaki has taken the wraps off the 50th Anniversary Editions of the Z650 RS and the Z900 RS for international markets. The motorcycles, which will be available in limited numbers are built to commemorate 50 years since the iconic Kawasaki Z1 was launched.
So, in true Anniversary Edition style, the Z650 RS and Z900 RS draw inspiration from the Z1 and are adorned in the ‘Firecracker Red’ paint scheme. The colour scheme, which now seems distant to Kawasaki, was once the most demanded option and in a way perfectly suits the retro-styled RS models now. And to complete the look, both motorcycles also get contrasting golden rims and a chrome grabrail.
However, apart from the cosmetic changes, the Z650 RS and Z900 RS remain the same in terms of engine, hardware, and features. Both motorcycles will make their way to the Japanese market next month before being introduced to other global markets. While it is unconfirmed, the motorcycles could make their way to India later this year.
