Kawasaki India will launch its most-affordable motorcycle, the W175 in our market tomorrow. This motorcycle will compete in the same price range as the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the TVS Ronin. Do note that the prices have been leaked already, and the new Kawasaki W175 will be available from Rs 1,47,000 onwards.
As reported earlier, the new W175 will be sold in two options – Standard and Special Edition. The difference between the two options is limited to the paint themes. The Standard variant, which will be available in the Ebony paint option, will be sold at Rs 1,47,000. The Special Edition, on the other hand, will be offered in the bold Candy Persimmon Red colour and it will be priced at Rs 1,49,000.
This will be the smallest-displacement, road-legal motorcycle in Kawasaki India’s portfolio and it will be powered by a BS6-compliant 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The motor will deliver a maximum output of 12.8bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 13.2Nm at 6,000rpm.
The bookings of this new Kawasaki will open on 25 September, 2022 and the deliveries should commence soon after.
