- Kawasaki W175 available in two colour options
- Priced from Rs 1.47 lakh
- Uses a 177cc, single-cylinder engine
Kawasaki’s most affordable motorcycle in India- the W175 made its debut recently with a pricing that starts from Rs 1.47 lakh for the standard version and goes up to Rs 1.49 lakh, ex-showroom for the Special Edition.
The Japanese brand is also offering the W175 in a choice of two colour options. There is the Ebony paint scheme that offers the motorcycle in a blacked-out look. The only contrast comes in the form of the chrome headlamp, instrument cluster bezel and wheels. If you opt for the Special Edition, the W175 is available in a Candy Persimmon Red. This colour option incorporated red on the fender and fuel tank that also features gold pinstripes. The rest of the motorcycle including the spoke wheels remains black.
Powering the Kawasaki W175 is a 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 13bhp and 13.2Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. As for features, the W175 comes with an analogue instrument cluster that is basic in what it offers. That said, even the lighting is conventional. And to comply with regulations, Kawasaki has plonked in a single-channel ABS.
Now, in terms of competition, the W175 would ideally go up against the Yamaha FZ-X. However, with its pricing, it competes against the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin that offer bigger engines, more power and torque as well as added features for the same price.
