- Gets alloy wheels with tubeless tyres
- Features new colours and graphics
- Priced Rs. 12,000 less than the spoke wheel trim
Kawasaki has revamped its portfolio in India by launching the W175 Street with a price tag of Rs. 1.35 lakh. It is based on the W175 standard model but gets a few mechanical changes while being Rs. 12,000 more affordable.
Unlike the standard model of the bike, which gets spoke wheels and tube tyres, the new W175 Street comes equipped with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. The diameter of these wheels continues to be the same 17-inch as before. Also, the sizes of the tyres have remained unchanged at 80/100 for the front and 100/90 for the rear. However, the seat height, wheelbase, and ground clearance are slightly different from its more retro-looking version.
Kawasaki has bestowed the bike with subtle visual updates as well. There are two new colour options available with fresh graphics which look neat with an all-black theme across its cycle parts. Powering the motorcycle is the same 177cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 12.8bhp and 13.2Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Underpinned by a double cradle frame, it is suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs while the braking hardware comprises a disc-drum combination. Moreover, the fuel tank capacity continues to be 12-litres.
The new Kawasaki W175 compete against the likes of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin in India.
