- Gets Sugomi styling
- Uses a 9kW motor with 451cc engine
- No word about India launch
A few months after unveiling its first hybrid motorcycle, Kawasaki have now taken the wraps off the Z 7 Hybrid at the EICMA 2023.
The motorcycle keeps in tune with Kawasaki’s Sugomi design language that reflects throughout the brand’s streetfighter range. Hence, the aggressive front end with the low-slung LED headlamp, and sharp lines all over continues. However, the Z 7 does look slightly bulkier than the rest of its proper ICE powered siblings. Kawasaki is offering the motorcycle in a white and green combination or a grey and black combination of colours.
Now, the Kawasaki Z 7 Hybrid comes with the same 451cc, parallel-twin engine as the Ninja 7 and uses a 9kW traction motor as well. The naked motorcycle offers 58bhp and offers close to 12km of range from the electric side of things before the combustion engine kicks in to recharge the battery. The Z 7 Hybrid also comes witha Eco-Hybrid mode that provides the combination of electric and combustion power and allow the ride to select manual or automatic gearshifts as well! The manual shifts are operated via the switch on the left handlebar but gets no clutch lever.
While the hybrid motorcycle range from Kawasaki will be available in international markets soon, there is no announcement if the brand is looking to launch them in India.
