Kawasaki has added another motorcycle to their quarter litre segment. The new bike in question is the Z250SL which is more of a cross between the naked Z250 and the Ninja 250SL that was recently launched in some markets. The upcoming naked motorcycle is rumoured to be launched on April 30.
The new Z250SL gets a new trellis frame and the overall weight is around 140 kgs which is pretty light for a motorcycle of this segment. The bike will get the same engine that powers the 250Sl, which is a single cylinder 249cc liquid cooled fuel injected engine producing 27.6bhp at 9700 rpm and 23Nm at 8200 rpm. Suspension duties will be handled by the 37mm telescopic forks at front and a uni-track linkage system at the rear. 263mm front disc and 193mm rear discs have been provided for braking.
The pricing of this new Kawasaki Z250SL is expected to be below the Mono RR. Talking about the India launch, the Z250SL won't make its way to India but the Z250 will be launched in the next few months.
