Kawasaki globally unveiled the Z400 at the 2018 EICMA recently. We bring to you a detailed photo gallery of the newest streetfighter from the Japanese manufacturer.
The Z400 is based on the fully-faired Ninja 400 which retails at Rs 4.69 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India.
While the design of the full-LED headlamp and muscular tank is inspired by its bigger capacity ‘Z’ siblings..
..The rear section is similar to the Ninja 400 with the split seat setup and distinctive tail lamp.
It sports an analogue tachometer and LCD unit that displays speed, odometer, trip meters, gear indicator, fuel gauge and clock.
The bike is powered by a 399cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 48.3bhp and 38Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.
Suspension duties on the Kawasaki Z400 are taken care of by 41mm conventionally mounted front forks and a monoshock at the rear.
Braking is done by a 310mm front disc and a 220mm disc for the rear wheel with a dual-channel ABS as standard.
The Kawasaki Z400 is expected to arrive in India sometime later next year priced at around Rs 4 lakhs. It will directly compete against the KTM 390 Duke here.
