- Would get retro styling
- Expected to be powered by inline-four engine
- India launch by 2025
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is a modern masterpiece that wowed the world with its inline-four screamer’s potential. It was also recently launched in India with a price tag of Rs 8.5 lakh, ex-showroom. And now, according to rumours from Japan, Kawasaki is working on a Z400 RS based on the ZX-4R.
Kawasaki’s RS series represents the brand’s heritage models in a mdoern avatar. With a minimal styling that includes a circular headlamp, teardrop shaped tank and twin-pod cluster, the Z400 RS will also follow suit. Although, unlike its siblings and their parallel-twin motors, the Kawasaki Z400 RS is expected to come with the same 399cc inline four-cylinder motor that makes 75.9bhp at 14,500rpm and 39Nm at 13,000rpm. As for features, we can speculate it to have ride modes, a connectivity feature for the TFT cluster, traction control and dual-channel ABS too.
If the Kawasaki Z400 RS becomes a reality, it would surely hit the heartstrings of retro motorcycle enthusiasts with its yesteryear charm teamed with modern technology. That said, we can also expect it to make its way to India by 2025, but have no direct rival.
