- Gets new paint theme
- No changes to the design or specifications
- India launch details unavailable yet
Kawasaki has unveiled the 50th Anniversary Z650 on its international websites. This new version of the middleweight naked roadster will be available in the Firecracker Red paint theme that is inspired by the 1980’s Z-GP models.
The vivid red base paint on the 50th Anniversary Z650 is complemented by dark blue and silver highlights while the “Z” emblem and Kawasaki logos are finished in gold. Other styling updates include silver pinstriped red wheels, new seat cover material, and a commemorative “Z 50th” front fender logo.
The changes are limited to the revised paint theme. The design, on the other hand, remains unchanged and this special edition continues to feature a single-pod headlight, sharp bodywork, step-up seat, and underbelly exhaust. The feature list comprises an LED headlight, an LED taillight, and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster.
The mechanical specifications, too, remain unaltered and the 50th Anniversary Z650 retains the 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces a maximum output of 67bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm at 6,700rpm.
The Indian launch details of this variant are not available, however, we could see a few units on our shores.
