The Indian market is just a day away from seeing the official launch of the most awaited Kawasaki motorcycles – the Z650, the Ninja 650 and the Z900.
Kawasaki hasn’t revealed any details about its models, which they claim to be the most important 2017 models. But according to our source, these three bikes will make its India debut tomorrow i.e. March 24. The bikes will go on sale from tomorrow onwards and the bookings will begin at all Kawasaki showrooms.
The Ninja 650 has a good fan following in India because it was one of the first bikes in the touring segment. The Z650, which is the naked version of the Ninja 650 and was previously called the ER-6n, was known for its competitive price tag. Just like the other two Kawasakis, the Z900 is also a new bike which gets better styling and new chassis. The Z800 used to be a value-for-money big bike and we hope the Z900 which replaces the Z800 gets the same tag.
The Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Z650 will be assembled in India, whereas the Z900 will be a completely-built-up(CBU) unit from Thailand. The prices for these bikes will surely be higher than the outgoing models but we hope it is not high enough to compel Indian buyers to look elsewhere to quench their thirst for big bikes.
