- Z650 RS Anniversary Edition launched
- Gets unique paint scheme
- Mechanically the same as before
Kawasaki has launched the Z650 RS 50th Anniversary Edition in India a few weeks after it was globally unveiled. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 7,000 more expensive than the standard version.
Justifying the higher price is the unique paint scheme that has been derived from the iconic Kawasaki Z1. Called ‘Candy Diamond Brown’ the paint scheme might be uncommon to Kawasaki motorcycles now, however back in the day, it was the most demanded colour. Perfectly suits the modern-retro styled Z650 RS doesn’t it? And to complete the look, the motorcycle also gets a chrome grab rail and golden rims.
Although apart from the new colour, the Z650 RS 50th Anniversary Edition remains the same in terms of engine, hardware, and features. It comes powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin engine and sports a twin-pod instrument with chrome bezels for a retro look. Bookings for the Z650 RS Anniversary Edition have commenced across India with deliveries to take place sometime soon.
