Kawasaki India has announced the launch of the Z900 BS6 at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 7.99 lakh. Here we list the top five highlights of the Japanese roadster motorcycle.
Design
The BS6-compliant Z900 looks similar to the Kawasaki Z900 BS4 special edition. It features an aggressive front fascia that includes an updated headlight design and DRLs. The new model also gets a new Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch TFT display that works with Kawasaki’s RIDEOLOGY THE APP. Other features include full-LED lighting, a muscular fuel tank, and a split-style saddle.
Colours
The Kawasaki Z900 BS6 is available in two colours – Metallic Graphite Gray and Candy Lime Green.
Engine
The motorcycle houses a BS6-compliant 948cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 123.6bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission.
Hardware
The suspension setup on the Z900 BS6 model includes 41mm upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock – both featuring rebound damping and spring preload adjustability. The anchoring setup comprises of dual 300mm discs at the front and a 250mm rotor at the back. The safety net comprises of ABS, traction control system, two power modes, and four riding modes. The motorcycle rides on Dunlop Sportsmax Roadsport 2 tyres.
Price
The Kawasaki Z900 BS6 has been priced at Rs 7.99 lakh. In comparison, its predecessor was available at Rs 7.69 lakh.
