- Kawasaki Z900 gets a new paint scheme
- Prices to increase by Rs 8,000 from 1 January
- Remains unaltered mechanically
India Kawasaki Motors has introduced a new colour option for its middle-weight street bike, the Z900. The new paint scheme is called ‘Candy Lime Green Type 3’ and it will join the existing Metallic Spark Black trim.
Subsequently, the prices of the motorcycle are also set to increase from 1 January 2022, as Kawasaki had announced recently. The prices of the motorcycle will start from Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom) which, fortunately, is a meagre hike of Rs 8,000 over the existing prices.
The Z900 will remain the same sporty Japanese naked in all other aspects. It boasts Kawasaki’s traditional Sugomi styling with a hunched-forward and muscular stance. There’s LED lighting all around along with a 4.3-inch TFT colour instrument cluster that shows all the important data. It also offers smartphone connectivity through Kawasak’s Rideology application that shows a bunch of data related to the bike and rides.
Propelling the Z900 is a 948cc, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 123.6bhp of power and 98.6Nm of peak torque. With a 17-litre fuel tank, its kerb weight stands at 212kg. It’s also decently equipped with electronic aids with the list comprising traction control, two power modes (Low and Full), three riding modes (Sport, Rain, and Road), and dual-channel ABS.
