- Z900 gets expensive by Rs 9,000
- Z H2 range now available from Rs 22.79 lakh
- No styling changes to the motorcycles
Kawasaki has increased the prices of select models in the Indian market and this revision affects three motorcycles of the Z range – Z H2, Z H2 SE, and Z900. Post the price hike, the Z H2 and the Z H2 SE are expensive by Rs 23,000 and Rs 27,000, respectively. The Z900, in comparison, has received a relatively lower price hike of Rs 9,000.
With the new prices in effect, the Z H2 is now available at Rs 22.79 lakh while the Z H2 SE is listed at Rs 26.95 lakh. Meanwhile, the Z900, post the price revision, is available at Rs 8.93 lakh. Do note that this price revision does not bring any cosmetic or mechanical changes to Kawasaki’s roadster motorcycles. Thus, the Z900 is available in two colours – Candy Lime Green Type 3 and Metallic Spark Black. And the Z H2 and the Z H2 SE are available in Metallic Diablo Black with Golden Blazed Green dual-tone paint.
The Z H2 range uses a 998cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine with Supercharger that makes 197.2bhp at 11,000rpm and 137Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm. The Z900, on the other hand, is powered by a 948cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled motor that delivers 123.6bhp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm at 7,700prm.
The Z H2 range rivals the likes of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and BMW S1000R while the Z900 competes against the Triumph Street Triple and the DucatiMonster in the Indian market.
