- Offered in a new Yellow Ball paint scheme
- Powered by the same 948cc inline four-cylinder motor
- Currently available in only two paint schemes in India
Kawasaki has launched the Z900RS in a new paint scheme called the Yellow Ball. The new paint scheme is offered in Japan only, and the asking price is JPY 14,20,000 (approximately Rs. 8.25 lakh excluding taxes). Whereas, in India, we only get two paint schemes and the asking price is close to double at Rs. 16.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
With the new Yellow Ball colour, the Kawasaki Z900RS's fuel tank is painted yellow with a black coloured patch at the top of it. Even the black tail section gets a yellow stripe in between. Apart from that, the bike remains unchanged. So, the retro design has been carried on and the bike comes with a round headlight and chrome elements like the tubular handlebar and the exhaust pipe are also carried over.
Kawasaki has powered the Z900RS with a 948cc inline four-cylinder motor that dishes out 110bhp and 98.5Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The list of rider aids includes ABS and traction control. The Z900RS comes with a dual-pod instrument console that houses the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and other readouts.
The hardware setup comprises USD front forks, a monoshock, a dual front, and a single rear disc. The setup is mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in road-baised tyres.
In India, the Kawasaki Z900RS rivals the Triumph Bonneville T100 and Speed Twin. We expect Kawasaki India to also launch this colour option here.
