Kawasaki India recently launched the Ninja ZX-10R in India priced at Rs 12.80 lakhs (ex-showroom). If you are looking for a motorcycle around the same budget, the Indian market has around fifteen options to choose from. Here is what the list looks like-
There are five adventure touring motorcycles that feature in this list. From Kawasaki’s line-up comes the Versys 1000 with a price tag of Rs 12.91 lakhs. The bike is powered by a 1043cc, in-line four engine that produces 118bhp of power and 101Nm of torque. Honda has the Africa Twin at Rs 13.23 lakhs. It uses a 999cc parallel-twin engine that puts out 86bhp and 93Nm of torque.
BMW also offers two motorcycles in the form of the F750 GS and F850 GS. The F750 GS is more road-focused and costs Rs 12.20 lakhs, the F850 GS on the other hand is off-road biased and is priced at Rs 13.70 lakhs. Both bikes are powered by the same 853cc, parallel-twin engine, although with different power outputs. While the F850 GS is more powerful at 93bhp and 92Nm of torque, the F750 GS produces 75bhp and 83Nm of torque. You could also have the Ducati Multistrada 950 at a price of Rs 12.90 lakhs. The bike is powered by a 937cc, L-twin Testastretta engine that puts out 113bhp and 96Nm of torque.
Ducati also offers a sports tourer, the SuperSport which retails at Rs 12.04 lakhs. It is powered by a 937cc twin-cylinder engine that churns out 110bhp and 97Nm.
Suzuki has the Hayabusa and GSX-S1000F. The Hayabusa is priced at Rs 13.68 lakhs and is powered by a 1340cc in-line four engine. This unit produces 197bhp and 155Nm of torque. The GSX-S1000F uses a 999cc, in-line four engine that puts out 144bhp and 105.75Nm of torque. It is priced at Rs 12.79 lakhs.
There is the Aprilia Shiver 900 and Dorsoduro 900 retailing at Rs 12.95 lakhs and 13.45 lakhs respectively. Both bikes are powered by a 896cc, V-twin engine that is rated at 92.5bhp and 90Nm of torque. The list also features five cruisers, two of which come from Harley-Davidson. There is the Street Bob at Rs 13 lakhs and the Low Rider at Rs 13.69 lakhs. The bikes use the same 1745cc, V-twin engine that churns out 64bhp and 144Nm of torque. Indian Motorcycles has the Scout with a price tag of Rs 12.69 lakhs. It uses a 1130cc, V-twin motor that puts out 98.7bhp and 97.7Nm of torque.There are Italians cruisers too; the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber and V9 Roamer retailing at Rs 13.22 lakhs each. Powering the bikes is an 853cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 55bhp and 62Nm of torque.
