Kawasaki has launched the Ninja ZX-10RR, a high-performance version of their high-performance supersport litre-class motorcycle, the ZX-10R. It is priced at Rs 21.9 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi.
There are a host of changes with the ZX-10RR. The engine has modifications to the head to allow high-lift cams, and there are DLC-coated tappets to reduce friction. It also has stiffer valve springs. The wheels are lightweight Marchesini wheels and Pirelli Supercorsa SP tyres that allow it to go even faster than the KRT edition ZX-10R around a track. The suspension settings have been tweaked from the KRT edition for it to go even faster.
Cosmetically it has the snowflake logo on the cowl and the front, and it has the RR logo embossed into the pulser cover.
The race kit is not available at the moment for the Indian market, but the company is evaluating the possibility of making it available to customers later. At the time of writing, the company did not have a specific number of them allotted to the Indian market, but they did say that the numbers were 'extremely limited'.
