- Kawasaki Z125 gets new colours for 2022
- Rivals KTM 125 Duke internationally
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Kawasaki has introduced the 2022 Z125 in global markets where A1 licenses are mandatory for new riders. The motorcycle competes against the KTM 125 Duke which is also aimed at the same set of buyers internationally.
Now as part of the update, the Kawasaki Z125 gets new colour schemes that are inspired by its bigger siblings in the ‘Z’ range. So a Black paint scheme is being offered for the standard version, whereas the SE variant gets Green/Black and White/Black.
However, as for the technical bits, there aren’t any changes. The Kawasaki Z125 uses a tubular steel diamond-type frame that houses a 125cc, single-cylinder motor that pumps out 15bhp at 10,000rpm. In comparison, the KTM 125 Duke churns out 14.3bhp at 9250rpm. The 37mm telescopic forks and a pre-load adjustable monoshock. In Europe, the Z125 costs 4,399 Euros (approx. Rs 3.81 lakh) for the standard version, and 4,499 Euros (approx. Rs 3.89 lakh) for the SE variant. Nonetheless, it is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon.
