Keeway India has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of two new motorcycles, K300 R and K300 N. Here we bring you the top five highlights from the India launch of this KTM 390 Duke-rival.
Design
The new Keeway K300 N competes in the sub-500cc naked roadster segment of the Indian market. The styling cues include a single-pod LED headlight with an integrated LED DRL, body-coloured headlight mask, a 12.5-litre angular fuel tank, radiator shrouds for a beefier look, split-style seats, an underbelly exhaust, and rear fender-mounted numberplate. The Keeway branding is visible on the fuel tank while the K300 N decals are seen on the rear panel. The upside-down front forks further enhance the muscular styling of the motorcycle. The K300 N tips the weighing scale at 151kg.
Colours and Price
The K300 N is available in three colours – Matte White, Matte Red, and Matte Black. The colour options affect the ex-showroom prices of the motorcycle and you can check out the complete price list below:
Matte White – Rs 2,65,000
Matte Red – Rs 2,75,000
Matte Black – Rs 2,85,000
Engine
The styling is complemented by the performance numbers of this motorcycle. The new K300 N shares its 292cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with the K300 R. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to deliver 27.5bhp at 8,750rpm and 25Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm.
Features
The feature list comprises full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster sans Bluetooth connectivity. And the rider aids comprise dual-channel ABS and a slipper clutch mechanism.
Hardware
The Keeway K300 N is built around a bassinet frame and it uses upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks. The braking duties are handled by a 292mm front and 220mm rear disc while the safety net, as mentioned above, is handled by dual-channel ABS. Lastly, the 17-inch alloy wheels are shod in 110/70-section front and 140/60-section rear tubeless tyres.
The bookings for the new K300 range have commenced across India and their deliveries are scheduled to start by the end of September 2022.
