Hungarian two-wheeler brand, Keeway, has recently entered the Indian market with three offerings. One of them is a motorcycle called the K-Light 250V cruiser which has got a couple of tricks up its sleeves. Before the motorcycle arrives at showrooms, let’s check out the top five highlights of the Keeway K-Light 250V.
Distinctivestyling
Although it’s a cruiser, the design is unlike any other motorcycle falling in this genre. It gets a round headlamp surrounded by a chunky cowl with a wide flat track-style handlebar on top. Then there’s a bulky fuel tank, a scooped seat, and a straight tail reminiscent of the Harley-Davidson Street Rod. One of the design highlights of the bike is a pair of shotgun-style exhausts.
Colour options
The K-Light 250V will be available in three colour options including Matte Black, Matte Blue, and Matte Dark Grey. These colours are complemented by blacked-out finishing across its body panels which give it a factory-custom look.
V-twin engine
The company is touting this bike as the most affordable motorcycle with a V-twin engine. This 250cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill produces 18.5bhp of power at 8500rpm and a maximum torque of 19Nm which comes in at 5500rpm. It’s worth noting that these performance numbers aren’t extraordinary. For instance, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 churns out 20.2bhp and 27Nm.
Decent features
The Keeway comes equipped with features that are a commonality in this segment. It sports an LED headlamp, a round LED DRL, and an LED tail lamp along with conventional turn indicators. The instrumentation setup comprises a small LCD dash mounted on the fuel tank. Also, the only safety aid available is a dual-channel ABS setup. What’s impressive though is the fuel tank capacity which stands at 20-litre.
Bookings and deliveries
Keeway is yet to announce the price of the K-Light 250V for the Indian market. However, online bookings for the motorcycle have already commenced at Rs 10,000 while deliveries are slated to begin in early June. Test rides of the motorcycle will start on 26 May, 2022.
