- Kinetic Luna makes a comeback
- Kinetic e Luna has a top speed of 50kmph
- Bookings opened online
The famous Luna brand has made a comeback but in an electric avatar. Kinetic Green has launched the Luna electric two-wheeler in India at Rs 69,990 (ex-showroom).
The brand has made sure to design the overall styling elements of the new Luna in a way that reminds the country of the old Luna. The overall body proportions are on the leaner side and a lot of focus has gone into keeping the two-wheeler lightweight.
The Luna EV is built around a steel frame and is powered by a 1.2kW motor and there’s a 2kWh battery that helps it get a 100km claimed riding range. The brand claims that this two-wheeler can reach a top speed of 50kmph and has a charging time of four hours. The overall payload is set at 150kgs, which is quite decent. In terms of features, the e Luna gets a basic digital instrument cluster, lever lock, detachable rear seat, and USB charging point and bag locks. These are quite basic features but Kinetic wanted to keep the overall pricing in check.
The Kinetic Luna is available in five colours – red, yellow, black, blue and green. The bookings have commenced at its official website and can be done at Rs 500. However, there is no official communication regarding the deliveries.
