Kodewa Performance Motorcycles has officially unveiled the Lotus-branded C-01. Only 100 units of this motorcycle will be manufactured but launch date or price has been given.
The C-01, designed by Daniel Simon, is made from carbon fibre, titanium and aerospace-grade steel. These materials have been used in the construction of the Formula One cars. The bike took two years for the development and will be decked in different options of colours and paint schemes. The customisation service is said to be ‘limited only by the imagination of the client’.
The motorcycle is powered by a 1.2-litre V-twin engine that churns out 200bhp (147 kW) of power. This engine is mated to a six-speed "jaw-type shift transmission".
Colin Kolles, Head, Kodewa, said, "We set out to create a bike that isn’t just great to ride but also represents a piece of art in motion. Over the years I have seen my fair share of style over substance, what this bike brings to the market is a unique combination of both - state of the art technology with a truly jaw-dropping aesthetic.”
