KTM 1190 Adventure and the 950 Adventure has been spied in India for the first time. Folks at BikeAdvice found these motorcycles being parked at a toll booth in Kolar, Karnataka.
Both the motorcycles were being ridden by fully geared riders and on being asked about these machines, they refused to speak. There were no number plates on these motorcycles raising some doubts over its presence in India. Bajaj had confirmed of not getting any KTM motorcycles through completely-built-up (CBU route) and these motorcycles doesn’t look like they are going to be assembled or manufactured anytime soon in India.
KTM 950 Adventure is not produced anymore with the last batch being in 2005. So there is a high possibility of both the motorcycles being owned by some international tourers and are currently touring the country. India is favoured as a good country to tour in and as it has lot of challenges. That is why many international riders get their high capacity motorcycle and tour across the country.
Honestly speaking the 1190 Adventure and the 950 Adventure motorcycles are not very practical for the Indian market. Something like the Duke 690 naked motorcycle will do wonders. This machine was spied testing by a BikeWale fan in Leh region along with few other KTM and Bajaj products few months ago.
