KTM and Bajaj, both are bullish about the Indian motorcycle market and that has kept their research and development division busy. While the RC200 and the RC390 are doing more than decent sales in India, the Austrian manufacturer is gearing up for the next big launches.
As per a report by IAB, an 1190 Adventure R has been spied inside a showroom. However, there aren’t many details of the showroom, making us believe that this picture could have been clicked in any part of the world. The 1190 Adventure R will never make it to India, but as per Stefan Pierer, CEO, KTM , we will get the 1050 Adventure. Though he refused to give any time frame for this launch, but we expect this bike to be priced competitively because it will be sold as a completely-knocked-down (CKD) unit.
Interestingly, one 1290 Super Adventure has been imported to the country from Austria last month. But the concerned website doesn’t reveal any details if this bike has been imported by an individual or KTM. During the launch of the RC200 and the RC390, the company confirmed that it doesn’t plan to get the 1290 Super Duke, which makes us believe that the 1290 Super Adventure also won’t make its way to India anytime soon.
