An updated version of the KTM 1190 Adventure has been spied testing in Tenerife near Spain. The motorcycle had been previously been spotted testing near the two-wheeler maker’s factory at Mattighofen in Austria.
Reports suggests that the motorcycle has a larger fuel tank, revised front faring, larger side panels and engine crash bars. It suggests that the larger tank means the bike will have a better range while the revised design for the visor and faring means better protection against windblast. The current 1190 Adventure has a tank capacity of 23 litres and it is likely that this tank maybe at least 10 litres more.
These pictures present two possibilities- as the headlines suggests, the bike will get a MY update and what we are looking at is in all probability the 2016 model which will be launched next year. There is also a possibility that this maybe a new bike which is likely to get the ‘Touring’ moniker but will share underpinnings and engines with other bikes in the range.
