- Mumbai and Pune dealerships are accepting bookings
- The token amount is Rs 1000
- It is expected to be officially launched by December
KTM is all set to launch its entry-level streetfighter, the 125 Duke in India. The bookings of the motorcycle have already started at dealerships in Mumbai and Pune at the token amount of Rs 1000. The exact price of the motorcycle has not been revealed yet but it will perhaps be approximately Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 cheaper than the 200 Duke. It is expected to be launched by December and the deliveries will commence in the same month.
The KTM 125 Duke will boast of the same modern styling as that of the 250 Duke with sharp body panels. It is expected to come in two colour variants including white and the traditional KTM orange shade. Powering the motorcycle is the 124.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that is good for 15bhp of power and 12Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
In order to keep the pricing low in India, the motorcycle might miss out on the LED headlamps and colour TFT instrument cluster. As per the dealerships, the 125 Duke will get combi-braking system (CBS) as a safety feature. Once launched, it will compete against the Yamaha YZF R15 V3 and the Yamaha Fazer 25, in terms of pricing.
