The KTM 125 Duke is the most affordable BS6-compliant motorcycle in the manufacturer’s Indian portfolio and is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom). At a similar price, there are four motorcycles you can choose from. Here is the list-
Yamaha MT-15 : Rs 1.38 lakh
The Yamaha MT-15 is the KTM 125 Duke’s biggest rival. It costs Rs 1.38 lakh for the standard colours while the special edition colour is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh. The MT-15 sports a uniquely-designed, low-slung LED projector and DRL headlamp up front that gives it a distinctive appeal. Yamaha has equipped the MT-15 a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 17.9bhp and 13.9Nm of torque. And similar to the KTM 25 Duke, the Yamaha MT-15 is also offered with a single-channel ABS.
Yamaha YZF-R15 V3: Rs 1.45 lakh
If you want a fully-faired motorcycle, Yamaha also offers the YZF R15 V3 priced at Rs 1.45 lakh for the standard colour. The motorcycle is also offered in a Racing Blue paint which costs Rs 1.46 lakh and a Dark Night edition which costs Rs 1.47 lakh. Borrowing its styling from the supersport Yamaha R1, the R15 V3 gets aggressively-styled split headlamps with full-LED lighting. The motorcycle uses a ‘Deltabox’ frame which houses a 155cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine with liquid-cooling. This motor produces 18.1bhp of power and 14.1Nm of torque. The Yamaha R15 V3 is the only motorcycle in this list that comes with dual-channel ABS as standard.
KTM RC 125 : Rs 1.47 lakh
In KTM’s showroom itself, you can find the RC 125 that is available in a single variant for Rs 1.47 lakh. The RC 125 is based on the KTM 125 Duke and sports the same hardware and components as the latter. However, with a sharp full fairing and a different sub-frame that the RC its upswept tail section. And unlike the Duke’s conventional lighting the RC 125 uses twin LED projector lamps along with LED DRLs. It comes powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that puts out 14.3bhp of power and 12Nm of torque.
Bajaj Pulsar RS 200: Rs 1.44 lakh
Finally, there is the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200; the motorcycle with the highest engine displacement in this list. Bajaj has priced the motorcycle at Rs 1.44 lakh. The RS200 gets a distinctive styling thanks to the lines and creases on the fairing, the dual projector headlamps, and unique tail lamp design. Powering the motorcycle is a 199cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces 23.7bhp and 18.6Nm. It comes equipped with a single-channel ABS as standard.
