KTM has launched its smallest and highly anticipated streetfighter, the 125 Duke, in India. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 1.18 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It has retained the styling of the 200 Duke with engine being the only differentiating component. Before we see the bike on streets, let’s have a close look at its pictures.
The design of the bike is radical with minimalistic yet muscular body parts that justify its streetfighter tag.
Although we are familiar with the overall styling, the funky and eye-catchy graphics point to it being the smallest beast in the KTM stable.
The decals, as is the case with all the Dukes in the line-up, represent the model with ‘125’ lettering in it.
The tiny and vertical headlamp has been borrowed from the 200 Duke which is the same conventional unit with no LED light on offer.
Similarly, the instrument cluster also remains unchanged, which is a digital unit and is fairly comprehensive.
The bike is based on a powder coated, steel trellis frame which makes it an agile machine.
On the front, it sports WP upside down forks which make it the first 125cc bike in India to get it.
Braking is taken care of by disc brakes on both ends while the single-channel ABS comes as standard.
Powering the bike is a 124.7cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.3bhp and 12Nm of torque. Power wise, this is close to many 150cc motorcycles in India.
