KTM is going big at the India Bike Week 2019. The company will showcase their flagship Streetfighter, the 1290 Super Duke at this festival that will be held in Goa.
This is the first time the Super Duke will be showcased in India. This motorcycle is likely to help the company in brand building exercise. There's no plan for the company to launch this bike anytime soon in India. The company recently unveiled the 2020 Super Duke R at the 2019 EICMA. However, according to the teaser released by KTM India on their social media channels, we will only see the Super Duke 1290 - a motorcycle will less feature.
The 1290 Super Duke has always been known for its excellent power-to-weight ratio and incredible handling. It is also equipped with some really good technology that makes it easy to handle on the road as well as on the race track. The bike gets features like four riding modes (Rain, Street, Sport, Track), lean-sensitive traction control, launch control, rear wheel lift control, quick shifter and cornering ABS with Supermoto mode.
We are honestly quite excited to see this bike in person. It will be interesting to see how the country responds to this motorcycle. If KTM India believes there's a market for this motorcycle (which we think there is), then we should expect this motorcycle in India sometime late next year.
