- KTM 250 ADV to be launched in India soon
- Gets an TFT instrument cluster
- Likely to be priced around Rs 2.3 lakh
KTM is expected to officially launch the 250 Adventure in India soon. However, the motorcycle has already started reaching dealerships in the country.
The KTM 250 Adventure borrows its styling from the 390 Adventure that is available in India. Although, it gets slight changes that set it apart like the halogen headlamp with LED DRL and different graphics. Underneath the adventure-themed bodywork is the same BS6-compliant, 248cc, single-cylinder engine used in the 250 Duke. While the motor is expected to produce the same power figures as the Duke, it could be slightly tuned to suit the 250 Adventure’s character.
As for features, the KTM 250 Adventure will come with switchable ABS and a black and white TFT display unlike the 250 Duke’s LCD unit. However, it misses out on the ride-by-wire throttle and traction control found on the 390 ADV. Suspension duties will be taken care of by 43mm WP Apex forks up front with 170mm travel and a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. And just like the newest lot of 390 Adventures, the KTM 250 Adventure will ride on MRF Mogrip Meteor dual-sport tyres.
Bookings for the upcoming 250 Adventure have also commenced in dealerships and we expect KTM to price the motorcycle around Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom). It would compete against the BMW G310 GS and the Royal Enfield Himalayan in the country.
