- KTM 250 Adventure unofficial bookings open
- Likely to be launched in India soon
- Expected to be priced around Rs 2.40-2.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
As we had recently told you, KTM is all set to ride in the 250 Adventure in India soon. And for those who want to book the motorcycle already, here’s the good news. Select KTM dealers in India have started accepting unofficial bookings for the 250 Adventure, ahead of its official launch. The minimum token amount is set at Rs 1,000, which is refundable in most cases.
The entry of the 250 Adventure will provide the riders with a more accessible alternative over the 390 Adventure, since the former is expected to be priced around Rs 50,000-60,000 lesser than the latter. Interestingly, the 250cc iteration boasts of a styling and cycle parts which are closely similar to the 390 ADV. The biggest difference is in the engine as the upcoming bike is powered by a 248cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which is employed in the 250 Duke as well. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and produces 30bhp and 25Nm.
While the body panels of the 250 ADV are the same as its bigger sibling, the halogen headlamp is identical to the previous model of the 250 Duke. But in terms of features, it does get premium elements such as a Bluetooth-enabled TFT console. It might also incorporate a switchable ABS setup. Coming to the hardware, the 250 Adventure rides on a 19-17-inch alloy wheel combo with USD forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Stopping power comes from a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the back.
In the entry-level adventure motorcycle segment, the KTM 250 Adventure will go up against the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Hero Xpulse 200.
