KTM India has announced a major price cut for its quarter-litre motorcycle, the 250 Adventure. The updated price is Rs 2.30 lakh as against Rs 2.55 lakh earlier, making it nearly Rs 25,000 cheaper than before. The lower price tag, as revealed by our sources, will be available for a limited period. Here we list the alternatives that potential buyers can consider in the same price range.
CFMoto 300NK (Rs 2.29 lakh)
CFMoto’s 300NK is available at a similar price tag as the KTM 250 Adventure. The naked roadster uses a 292.4cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 33.5bhp and 20.5Nm of peak torque. The feature list on the CFMoto 300NK includes full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a dual-channel ABS.
KTM 250 Duke (Rs 2.21 lakh)
The KTM 250 Duke naked roadster is available at a lower price tag than its touring-focussed sibling. The 250 Duke uses the same chassis and engine as the 250 Adventure, although the naked roadster misses windblast protection. The 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 29.6bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The feature list includes full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS.
KTM RC200 (Rs 2.06 lakh)
People looking for a sportier motorcycle can consider the KTM RC200. This fully-faired motorcycle from the Austrian two-wheeler retails at a much lower price tag than the 250 Adventure. The feature list on the motorcycle comprises a projector-style headlight, a digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS. The mechanical specifications include a 199cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 25.4bhp at 10,000rpm and 19.5Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.
Bajaj Dominar 400 (Rs 2.03 lakh)
Bajaj Auto’s flagship motorcycle, the Dominar 400 comes with a more powerful engine and a lower price tag than the KTM 250 Adventure. The 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 39.4bhp of power at 8,800rpm and 35Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The feature list on the Dominar 400 includes full-LED lighting, split-style instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS.
Royal Enfield Himalayan (Rs 2.01 lakh)
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is the direct competitor to the KTM 250 Adventure. Despite the nearly Rs 29,000 lower price tag, the Himalayan comes equipped with the Bluetooth-connectivity function that offers turn-by-turn navigation function via the Tripper Navigation system. The hardware on the Himalayan, which comprises wire-spoke setup and a 21-inch front wheel, is more off-road focussed than the KTM 250 Adventure. The power output, however, is lower on the Himalayan. The 411cc, single-cylinder motor on the Himalayan makes 24.3bhp at 6,500rpm and 32Nm at 4,500rpm.
