KTM continues to test its quarter-litre ADV model, the 250 Adventure as another pre-production mule was spotted through spy images. The motorcycle was seen with very little camouflage on the body panels. The vehicle, as seen in the photographs, will share its design with the 390 Adventure. The hardware, however, will be slightly different.
The headlight on the 250 Adventure, for example, may feature a halogen setup instead of the LED lighting on the 390 Adventure. The gearbox, on the other hand, may miss the quickshifter setup and the instrument cluster may not feature Bluetooth-connectivity. The 390 Adventure, for reference, is available at Rs 3.04 lakh.
Mechanical specifications will be similar to the KTM 250 Duke, and the upcoming 250 Adventure will use a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed transmission, the motor will produce 29.6bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.
The hardware will comprise of upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back to perform the suspension tasks. Anchoring power will come from single discs on both wheels. Other features will include LED taillight, LED blinkers, slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode.
Prices mentioned above are ex-showroom Delhi
