-KTM spotted testing a new adventure motorcycle
-Could be the 250 Adventure model
-Gets a halogen headlamp similar to the 250 Duke
KTM is likely to take the Duke approach with its Adventure family by introducing multiple models in the line-up. After the 390 Adventure being spied on numerous occasions before, pictures of what could be the KTM 250 Adventure have now surfaced online.
The test mule looks identical to the 390 Adventure in terms of styling. It features the same body panels, radiator guard, pannier frame, exhaust cannister and alloy wheel design. Interestingly, unlike the 250 Duke’s LCD instrument cluster, this motorcycle is equipped with a TFT console similar to the 390 Adventure. However, what strongly hints towards this bike being the 250 Adventure is the presence of halogen bulb for headlamp, which does duty on the 250 Duke. On the contrary, the 390 Adventure has always been spotted incorporating LED headlamps.
Coming to the engine, the crankcase of the spied motorcycle appears to be smaller than that of the 390cc motor, further suggesting it could be the 250cc version. Moreover, the exhaust canister too looks different than the 250 Duke, indicating that it will comply with the upcoming emission norms. The motorcycle can be seen riding on 19-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear, respectively. While the 390 Adventure has been spotted with the same tyre configuration till now, it will get an off-road-oriented spoke wheel version at a later stage.
KTM is gearing up to launch the 390 Adventure by the end of this year. If the bike maker is planning to launch the 250 ADV as well, it will most likely come next year. This would give the launch of the 390 Adventure the much-needed attention.
