- Now available in the new Ebony Black shade
- To be sold alongside the older Dark Galvano trim
- Price remains unaltered
KTM India launched the 250 Duke in a new colour option earlier this month. Christened the Ebony Black, this paint scheme is a nice balance of vibrancy and subtlety with a blacked-out treatment for a majority of its components along with a few dashes of orange. This new colour will be sold alongside the Dark Galvano trim which has been available for a long time.
Interestingly, KTM didn’t hike the price of the 250 Duke with the introduction of this new colour option. The motorcycle continues to be sold with a price tag of Rs 2.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which keeps it close to the likes of the Honda CB300F, Benelli Imperiale 400, and the Bajaj Dominar 400 in India.
KTM has also left the 250 Duke untouched on the mechanical front. The street bike continues to be powered by a smooth and tractable 248.76cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. This unit churns out 29.6bhp at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The kerb weight of the bike stands at 170kg with a fuel tank capacity of 13.4-litre. Typical of a KTM, the cycle parts are quite premium, and it comes with upside-down front forks, an aluminium swingarm, and ByBre brakes at both ends.
