KTM 350 SX-F and RC8 to be displayed at Pro-Biking showrooms

KTM recently showcased the motocross motorcycle, the 350 SX-F at the Mumbai Orange Day. As the motorcycle is not road legal, no one got a chance to ride it.The company has got this motorcycle to India as a part of brand building exercise. The KTM 350 SX-F will be displayed at seventeen Pro-Biking showrooms. Along with this off-roader, the company will also be displaying the 1190 RC8 superbike. Both the motorcycles won’t be sold in India as they are here for display purpose only.

The KTM 350 SX-F is powered by 349.7cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The company claims this motorcycle performs like a 450cc motorcycle and handles like a 350cc. This machine weighs just 105kg because of which the motorcycle will have excellent power to weight ratio. On the other hand, the 1190 RC8 is a superbike with 1195cc liquid-cooled V twin engine that produces peak power of 173bhp and 120Nm of torque. The motorcycle has a dry weight of 188kgs and has a tank capacity of 16.5 litres.

Speaking at Mumbai Orange Day, KTM India Head, Amit Nandi said "The KTM brand has its roots in racing and we want KTM owners to experience the thrills that a KTM bike can provide on a race track. Orange days are being conducted in every major city and will keep on growing in scale in the next few months. This is the second time we are conducting Orange Day in Mumbai, as the first version had received very encouraging response from KTM bike owners. KTM is an exclusive premium brand and we are keen to ensure we provide KTM customers an experience that is uniquely KTM.”
