KTM has updated its Malaysian product portfolio with the launch of its Adventure series in the country. Previously, we reported that the Austrian brand has introduced the 250 Adventure in Malaysia. The company has also launched the 390 Adventure in the market at 30,800 Malaysian Ringgit (Rs 5.56 lakh). In comparison, the 250 Adventure is available at 21,500 Malaysian Ringgit (Rs 3.88 lakh).
The Malaysian-spec model is similar to the Indian version, although the quickshifter is sold as an optional accessory and it has been priced at 1,600 Malaysian Ringgit (Rs 29,000). The motorcycle, however, gets the adjustable front forks in the country – a feature that is not available on the India-spec model. The front forks are adjustable for compression and rebound while the rear mono-shock features rebound and preload adjustability.
Mechanical specifications include a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor makes 42.3bhp and 37Nm of peak torque. The electronic aids on the motorcycle include a traction control system and switchable ABS. Similar to the Indian model, Bluetooth-connectivity is available as standard while the turn-by-turn navigation feature is available as an optional extra.
