- Next-generation KTM 390 Adventure spied
- Spotted in Rally and Enduro avatars
- Production is to take place at Bajaj’s Chakan plant
KTM has been spotted testing the new Rally and Enduro editions of the 390 Adventure on the European land. And these machines aren’t just mildly tweaked versions of the existing 390 ADV but almost every aspect of the bikes was completely new.
One of these test mules looked like a quintessential rally motorcycle with a high-set headlamp section, tall windscreen, and a raised front fender. Also, there’s a twin-pod LED headlamp nesting behind what is said to be a pair of TFT screens. The Enduro model, meanwhile, gets much more minimalistic body panels, a simpler instrument cluster, and an LED headlamp.
The most significant updates can be seen on the hardware. Unlike the existing motorcycle that rides on a 19-inch front alloy wheel, the spied test mules were running on a 21-inch spoke wheel at the front. Moreover, the suspension, chassis, knobby Metzeler tyres, and swingarm look new and focused towards making it more adventure-centric than the ongoing trim. Going by the engine casing, the powerplant also seems to have undergone major alterations but the exact nature of these changes is yet to be deciphered.
The production of the new KTM 390 Adventure Rally and Enduro will take place at Bajaj’s Chakan facility for the international markets which makes us believe that the Austrian bike maker will also launch them in India.
