- 390 ADV to get spoke wheel version
- Another variant with adjustable suspension is on the horizon
- A third model with a low-seat height could also be offered
Last year, we revealed that KTM India would launch the 390 Adventure with spoke wheels and adjustable suspension in India in 2023. Followed by that was the Austrian ADV’s international launch. While KTM India has posted multiple times about it on its social media handles in the past few months, our sources have revealed more information about the bike’s launch. Here’s what the new 390 Adventure will have to offer to the potential customers.
The much-awaited spoke wheels will finally debut in India, but as we mentioned before, KTM also plans to launch another variant that’ll benefit from WP’s front adjustable suspension. These two are likely to be sold as separate variants, adding to the customer’s convenience of choosing either the spoked wheels, only the adjustable front forks, or both.
The pricing for the new KTM 390 Adventure variant is yet to be determined, but the official launch is on the horizon. Our sources have also revealed that the bikes could debut as early as next month. For reference, the current KTM 390 Adventure is priced at Rs. 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Chandigarh). So, the new model could command a small premium owing to the new hardware. That said, the 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor will remain unchanged. It dishes out 42.9bhp and 37Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The setup benefits from a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter as well. Moreover, the 390 Adventure comes loaded with features like LED illumination, traction control, switchable ABS, and a TFT screen too. KTM offers the 390 Adventure in two paint schemes – Dark Galvano Black and Racing Blue.
The ADV motorcycle segment in India has been showing gradual growth and currently has some prominent names like the Royal Enfield Himalayan, Yezdi Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX, BMW G 310 GS, as well as the KTM 250 Adventure. However, the KTM 390 ADV will also have the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 as one of its arch-rivals once the bike is launched.
