- Low-seat option likely to be launched soon
- Will feature an 830mm seat height
- Will use 373.27cc, single-cylinder engine
After the launch of the 390 Adventure X, KTM India is set to announce the launch of a low-seat variant in the Indian market. This new variant has started to reach dealerships, and the company is expected to announce its launch details soon. It will come with a relatively lower seat height than the existing models. The standard versions, for reference, come with an 855mm tall saddle, which may make stopping and moving the motorcycle around difficult for shorter riders.
The source report suggests that the new variant will come with an 830mm seat height, making it considerably lower than the existing versions – standard and X. This new version is said to be based on the standard model. However, KTM India may also offer the low seat height option for the X variant.
As reported earlier, the most affordable version of the 390 Adventure range, the X variant, gets fewer features than the standard model and uses an LCD screen instead of the Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display. Further, this version also misses the traction control system, riding modes, cornering ABS, and a quick-shifter. However, it retains full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS with off-road mode, a slipper clutch, and a 12V USB socket from the standard model.
Meanwhile, all variants use the same 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 42.9bhp at 9,000rpm and 37Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm.
KTM India is yet to make an official announcement about this new variant. However, this variant has started to reach dealerships, and as mentioned before, we expect to hear a launch announcement very soon.
