KTM has increased the price of the 390 Duke ABS by Rs 6,500; a Delhi KTM dealer confirmed this news on Facebook. The bike was launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) few months ago and Bajaj-KTM is known to increase price within few months of the launch. With this increase, KTM will now retail for Rs 1.86 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The reason of the price increase is not known as of now but expect KTM to blame the rising input and logistics costs. The 390 Duke ABS is one of the most affordable performance bikes you can get in India and is known for its value for money proposition.
The 390 Duke ABS is powered by a 373cc single-cylinder engine that produces 43.5PS at 9,000rpm and 35Nm of torque at 700rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and the motorcycle has a dry weight of just 145kg, offering excellent power to weight ratio of 300PS per tonne. Around 95 per cent of the components of the Duke 390 ABS are new and very few parts are shared with its smaller sibling, the Duke 200. The motorcycle has the capability to do 0-100kmph in 5 to 6 seconds, can reach a top speed of over 160kmph and gets the premium Metzeler tyres for better grip.
