After its global unveil at EICMA 2024, the KTM 390 Enduro R debuted in India at IBW 2024 earlier this month. Although KTM is tight-lipped about its official specifications, here’s a detailed image gallery of the India-spec 399 Enduro R.
The 390 Enduro R borrows its chassis, cycle parts and some of its design elements from the KTM 390 Adventure R. However, it features a minimalist styling with a stubby LED headlamp, smaller fuel tank, and an enduro-style long tail.
The overall styling is quite similar to KTM motocross bikes. Further adding to its styling is a flat, motocross-style seat and a pulled-back handlebar. Both these aspects should make it easier to ride off-road.
Similar to the 390 Adventure R, the KTM 390 Enduro R rides on 21/18-inch spoke wheels wrapped on block-pattern Mitas tyres. The motorcycle is suspended on adjustable long-travel upside-down forks and a monoshock.
It is powered by the same 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powers the KTM 390 Duke. On the latter, the motor produces 45.3bhp and 39Nm and comes with a six-speed gearbox.
Feature-wise, the 390 Enduro R isn’t as loaded as the 390 Adventure R or the India-spec S model. It sports a smaller LCD console and basic switch cubes. However, it gets a dedicated button to switch off ABS.
The KTM 390 Enduro R will be launched in India in January 2025 alongside the new 390 Adventure S. It will be positioned below its ADV sibling and we expect it to be priced around Rs. 3.30 lakh to Rs. 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
